"Why it has to be Like This"

why it has to be like this?
I climb mountains, descend gorges
wander through desert, a quest to quench this thirst
I go through woods, across the shore
talk to the silent, false truth to explore
Alas! the silent remains dumb
a world of enigma, a vacuum dark, a blinding light
Every breath puzzles, obscure is every vision
echoing sounds spun a web, tangled maze of confusion
I surrender again, then to the eternity
ask again of heaven and hell
- the happiness lies in the smile of a child !
or crying to the rhythm of pain?
who decides the one to loose, and who the one to gain
Is it right - the way life moves on
where wheel of fortune turns around, I see a distant world
where poor is worshiped - and rich detested
where feeble is dread- and powerful exploited
Begging is fluke there and intelligence an illusion
where ignorance gives birth to wisdom
and knowledge is path to eternal hell
there seeds of failure bear fruits of a new life
I dream of a distant universe - a world of enigma
where good is bad, all false is true
light is a curse, where shadows revered as gold
and there sins become greatest virtue to hold...
where death is the only life to be lived
and chaos the only order of life
I dream of a distant universe,a world of enigma
I dream of a distant life, where two ends meet - make a trail
The cherished faith turns hostile
- a refuge I seek, in the lap of lies
The life we live, the society we live in-
I am asking why?...?
why it has to be like this - why it can't be otherwise
